I’m Hector Calderon — a strategic communicator, storyteller, author, husband, father and real estate advisor based in New York.
I was born in Morelia, Michoacan, a city of pink-stone streets, family traditions and deep memory. That early sense of place shaped how I see the world. To me, home has never been only about walls or addresses. Home is memory, belonging, identity and the courage to begin again.
My journey has carried me across borders, languages and callings — from Mexico to the United States,, Europe and Africa, from global communications work with the United Nations to writing, community service and real estate. Each chapter has taught me something about people, transition and the quiet human need to feel rooted.
Through my book, Abuela's Sacred Heart, and through my work with families and communities, I continue to explore what it means to build a life with intention.
